The municipality is making a budget of € 40,000 available to improve the neighbourhood according to four themes: sports and games, on the street, a greener neighbourhood, other initiatives
Anyone could submit a plan until 13 December. Suggest a plan and promote it in the neighbourhood to make sure it receives at least 15 likes. Others can like and comment on your plan.
If your plan receives 15 likes by 20 December, it will be checked for feasibility by the municipality and the residents’ organisation.
Residents of Benoordenhout will divide the budget over their favourite plans and thus decide which plans will be executed.
Residents know best what their neighbourhood needs. The municipality recognises this and has reserved a budget for residents’ plans. The participatory budget gives residents a say in what happens in their neighbourhood. ‘Users’ of the neighbourhood – residents, business owners and non-profit organisations – can submit plans that will help make Benoordenhout more beautiful, social, sporty or greener. The residents of Benoordenhout will divide up the € 40,000 over the feasible plans that they like best.
Benoordenhout is the third neighbourhood in the Haagse Hout district to receive its own participatory budget. Bezuidenhout-West and Bezuidenhout received one in 2020. Check out the planning here to find out when other neighbourhoods will get a participatory budget.
The website is mostly in Dutch, but we want everyone to be able to participate! If you have any questions, please contact us on benoordenhoutbegroot@denhaag.nl.
